Kaleigh Paplow- Owner and Head Coach
Hey y'all my name is Kaleigh Paplow better known as Coach KP, I am a 29 old basketball player, coach/skills trainer, referee and owner of Chosen Hoops. Im a Colorado native and attended Horizon High School and graduated from Lutheran High School, in Parker CO where I won a state championship in 2015. I continued my baskteball career attending Northern Arizona University and played all 4 years of Division 1 college basketball. I am record holder at NAU as the only player in college history to rank top ten in 5 categories- Steals, Assists, Scoring, Rebounding and Minutes Played. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Health, Wellness and Coaching. After graduation I went on to play professional basketball overseas in Australia. Covid cut my professional basketball career short, but through this came the birth of Chosen Hoops, a competitive boys basketball program at the elite level. We currently house some of the best basketball players in the state for 5th, 6th and 7th grade. I have been training and coaching for over 7 years and this is my passion. We at Chosen Hoops have a diverse competitive culture, with two black women leading the charge.
Khia Rasheed- Head Coach
Hi! I am Khiarica Rasheed, a 25-year-old professional basketball player and coach/skills trainer. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, and raised in Portland, Oregon, I started playing organized basketball at 12. I played in the Nike EYBL circuit and won a national championship in Atlanta with the only EYBL in Oregon, Team Fast. Through pure heart, hustle, and grit I earned a scholarship to Northern Arizona University where I played for 5 years. I am currently #2 in scoring and the all-time rebounding leader at my alma mater.
After graduating with a master’s degree from my university, I went on to play 2 years in Ireland and a month in Mexico. In Ireland, I won 4 championships and a finals MVP along with other post-season awards. I’ve coached throughout high school and college with various camps working mostly with younger kids. I started taking up more individualized/smaller group training around 2 years ago and have seen a great impact in coaching. Along with that, my role as a coach on ChosenHoops around a year ago has taken off. Being able to have close relationships with families in kids through basketball and life is one of the most rewarding things. If I have a chance to change someone’s life for the better, I thank God for it every day.
